Mama Carla’s Smoky Garlic Broccoli
Broccoli florets; enough to fill a 2 quart pot
1 big piece of garlic chopped very fine
¼ stick of butter
½ cup grated Smoked cheddar cheese
½ tsp Angostura Bitters
¼ cup water
(salt and pepper to taste)
Place broccoli in water with garlic and butter on top.
Sprinkle with Angostura, cover tightly and steam
over medium heat stirring occasionally for about 10
minutes or until florets are tender but not mushy.
Serve and top while hot with grated cheese. Makes 2
servings.
